Sunday Follow-Up on John 21.1-25 May 11, 2015

We finished the book of John on Sunday! What a joy it has been to learn about our Lord together from this wonderful Gospel. We looked at the restoration of Peter on Sunday and saw how this text gives us hope for restoration as well. As you reflect on Sunday’s sermon, I hope you have some time to reflect on what you have learned throughout the book of John as well. Here is the insert from Sunday: John 21.1-25 Insert.

Next Sunday we will begin a series on the 10 Commandments that we will continue with off-and-on throughout the summer. However, we will take a break from posting the weekly discussion questions as most home fellowship groups take a bit of a break over the summer.

Finally, we wrapped up the series in John with a special song that covers Jesus’ ministry from the earthly Jerusalem to the Heavenly Jerusalem. If you want to listen to this song again, you can hear it here.

Sunday Follow-Up on John 20.1-31 May 4, 2015

We are almost through the book of John! On Sunday we looked at some of the various interactions Jesus had with His followers after His resurrection. One thing they all had in common was that all of them believed because they saw Jesus in the flesh. However, what does this mean for us who no longer see Jesus in the flesh? What has Jesus left for us to strengthen our faith? We answered these questions and discussed faith and doubt in this passage. Here is the insert from Sunday: John 20.1-31 Insert.

Next week we plan to wrap up the book of John as we cover chapter 21.
