*IMPORTANT* Rummage Sale Update February 25, 2015

The weather this Saturday (February 28) will not be in our favor. A cold system is coming through San Diego, and plenty of rain is expected.

What this means for us:

We are postponing our rummage sale to Saturday, March 21.

If you were still planning on donating items today, it will actually be best if you hold on to your donations just a few more weeks (we’re trying to avoid having too many items in Fellowship Hall for an extended period of time). We will have one final collection day on Sunday, March 15.

Thank you for your support and understanding — you are a blessing from above!

In His service,
Pastor Marttell

Sunday Follow-Up on John 13.1-38 February 23, 2015

I was very blessed by our worship together this last Sunday. Brian introduced a wonderful new song called “All I Have Is Christ.” If you would like to listen to this song more for free you can do that here.

I preached on John 13.1-38 where Jesus washes His disciples’ feet and then explains how this illustrates His cleansing in our lives, and our call to serve one another. Here are the application questions from Sunday’s bulletin: John 13.1-38 Insert.

Sunday Follow-Up on John 12.37-50 February 16, 2015

On Sunday we studied John 12.37-50, and we saw several things not to do when we face unbelief in the world. We came away with a confidence in the message of the Gospel, and in God’s powerful ability to change hearts. Here is the insert from Sunday’s bulletin: John 12.37-50 Insert.

Sunday Follow-Up on John 11.55-12.36 February 9, 2015

Sunday we looked at the episode in the Gospel of John when Mary anointed Jesus’ feet with oil. She showed how she prized Jesus above all things even as she looked ridiculous to those around her. Here is the bulletin insert from Sunday: John 11.55-12.36 Insert.

Sunday Follow-Up on John 11.1-54 February 2, 2015

As we studied John 11.1-54 on Sunday, we saw Jesus reveal Himself as the resurrection and the life as he raised his dear friend, Lazarus, from the dead. We learned about grief and sorrow in this fallen world, and the hope of eternal life that Jesus offers. Here is the insert from the bulletin: John 11.1-54 Insert.
